Registered Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our medical-surgical and telemetry unit. The RN will be responsible for providing quality care to adult patients, including a focused geriatric population, while ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards.
Provide nursing care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on patient safety and comfort.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
Perform necessary procedures, including starting IVs and conducting telemetry assessments.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Maintain accurate and updated patient records using EPIC electronic health records system.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and organizational policies, especially regarding Department of Corrections patients.
12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

• Rotating weekends and holidays as needed.
• Scheduled to flip between day and night shifts a maximum of two times in a six-week period unless an exception is granted.
• Employees will receive 36 hours off between shifts when transitioning from nights to days, particularly for patient care shifts.

The unit serves a diverse adult and geriatric patient population, including individuals from various Department of Corrections facilities. Care involves working within a secured environment, with staff accompanied by Department of Corrections officers when assisting incarcerated patients.
