Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes and organization? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members through follow recipes and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available to take home to their families. There are times when you will juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with their bakery orders. As a Baker and Packager Associate, you'll follow recipes, prepare baked items daily, and ensure everything is wrapped, labeled, and stored for freshness. You'll juggle multiple tasks, assist members with bakery orders, and take pride in delivering quality products families can enjoy. What You'll Do: Prepare and bake products following Sam's Club recipes and standards Wrap, label, and store merchandise to maintain freshness Assist members with bakery orders and answer questions Keep the bakery area clean, organized, and fully stocked What We're Looking For: Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Able to multitask and stay organized under pressure Strong attention to detail and food safety awareness Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Collaborates with other associates to build a strong bakery team; and being flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas. Prepares bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment; wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise according to company policies and procedures; ensuring compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management; operating, maintaining, and sanitizing equipment; Leverages digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilizing hand held technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality with the member in mind; Be an Owner: Ensures commitment to operational excellence, maintaining work area according to company policies and procedures; ensuring quality and date control standards for bakery items; securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise; and ensuring merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored in accordance with company policies and procedures. Walmart at The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00 The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
