High-Level Description:Our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are an extremely important role in our company as they work directly with our individuals, ensuring they can lead their best lives and can be successful in both our Residential and Vocational settings. Individuals Direct Care/Oversight:This includes but is not limited to medical / behavioral appointments, job skills /vocational needs, daily living skills, financial, transportation, etc.Maintain and update individuals’ plans as needed in accordance with state and agency requirementsResponsible for daily housekeeping tasks and daily upkeep of the individual’s home and/ or work environmentProvide safe transportation of individual(s). Ensure agency vehicles are maintained and required documentation is completed timelyAdminister medication and implement delegated responsibilities ordered by licensed medical personnel (Med Certification RequiredBusiness Partner Relationships and Communications:Communicate regularly to management team on individual’s performance, successes, and issuesActively participate on the Interdisciplinary Team which is focused on development and implementation of the Individual Plan for the individuals entrusted to our carePartner with other DSPs and administrative team members to share expertise and insightsIdentify and participate in projects / initiatives that contribute to long-term excellence and individuals’ growthDevelop understanding of the workings of each department that interact with individualsRequired Trainings and Certifications:This position requires specific training requirements / certifications that must be always maintained including but not limited to:DDS Med Certification (within first 6 months of employment)CPRPMTHuman Rights and NeglectAttendance at Mandatory Staff MeetingsOther Position Related Information:This position is considered essential staff and is critical towards the care of our individualsThis position has physical demands associated including: o Standing,walking,andsittingo Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds)This position may require employees to work outsideCompetencies Required:Desire to ensure the greater good for our individualsResourcefulness / problem-solvingabilitiesDemonstrates respectAbility to work • independently and asa team memberStrong Verbal and Written Communication skillsResults-oriented AccountabilityStrong sense of accountabilityTimeliness/punctualityQualifications:Knowledge and understanding of Intellectual Developmental DisabilitiesMust be at least 18 years oldHigh School diploma or GEDValid Driver's LicenseMust be able to successfully demonstrate and use smartphones, tablets, and computers
