We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Strategic Procurement Specialist to manage both direct and indirect procurement across a wide range of commodities, services, and equipment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, independent judgment, and the ability to balance priorities between our Katy site and Asian factories.
Key Responsibilities
Execute procurement activities using SAP ERP (Buyer module) for both direct and indirect categories.
Source, negotiate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.
Analyze and prioritize global requests, avoiding reactive decision-making by applying sound judgment and data-driven insights.
Troubleshoot procurement and supply chain issues, escalating critical matters as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with operational needs.
Communicate effectively within the team, raising questions or seeking input on high-impact tasks or projects.
Continuously learn and adapt to new categories, suppliers, and market conditions.
Qualifications
2-3 years of procurement experience in computer, electronics, or hardware manufacturing.
Proficiency with SAP ERP (Buyer module).
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while fostering team collaboration.
Flexible across diverse commodities and eager to grow professionally.
