Church Pastor

Job Description The purpose of the Worship Pastor position is to lead Steamboat Christian Center and its ministries to love God and love people through music. The Worship Pastor will directly provide and develop teams to lead inspirational worship experiences for all ages and ministries at SCC.

More than 70 years ago, Steamboat Christian Center was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to share the good news of Jesus and help people find hope in Him.
What began as a congregation of about 30 people has grown to more than 600 attending on a typical weekend, with nearly 2,000 people calling SCC their church home. In a town of 20,000 people, our hope is that the cause of Jesus has become more famous, and the church has become a place where people in our community know they can find help, regardless of whether they attend or not.
SCC is a church committed to reaching the unchurched, and presenting the message of the good news in an irresistible way, creating a place where anyone can come, ask questions, explore faith, and encounter Jesus.

It’s safe, very active, full of families and young people. Lead, plan, and execute inspirational worship experiences across all ministries, including weekend services, youth, kids, and young adults, ensuring alignment with the church’s vision.
Recruit, develop, and schedule musicians, singers, and tech team members, fostering a culture of excellence and spiritual growth within teams.
Collaborate with ministry leaders to design and implement music strategies that inspire all generations to love God and love people through music.
Oversee the programming of music, video, and creative elements for services, maintaining high standards of innovation and quality.
Manage the Worship/Media budget and provide ongoing feedback and training to ensure effective use of musical and technical resources.
