Assists the paramedic and EMS team in the delivery of safe patient care. Assists in the coordination of safe patient care between departments. Provides basic life support, emergency care, and transportation to the sick and/or injured as needed.

Required Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent; Preferred: Six (6) months experience as an Emergency Care Technician.
Licensed Florida Emergency Medical Technician. Completion of 16-hour Emergency Vehicle Operators Course (EVOC). Must meet all current, applicable requirements of Chapter 401, Florida Statutes and Chapter 64 J-1 Florida Administrative Code for Emergency Medical Technicians. Required to be at least twenty-one (21) years of age and with a minimum of two (2) years of licensed driving experience. Required to provide a seven (7)- year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) prior to employment.
