Physician - Hematology and Oncology - Hematologist/Oncologist

The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders (CCBD) at Phoenix Children‘s is seeking a board‑certified/board‑eligible Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join our growing, nationally recognized program. The primary location is one of our satellite outpatient clinics (Arrowhead or East Valley), providing high‑quality, family‑centered hematology and oncology care in a community‑based setting. Inpatient service responsibilities at the main Phoenix Children‘s campus (approximately 6-8 weeks annually) will ensure strong integration with the broader division and continuity of care across settings.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive outpatient care in pediatric hematology and oncology at a satellite clinic location

Diagnose and manage benign hematologic disorders and pediatric malignancies

Deliver longitudinal care, including survivorship and supportive care

Participate in inpatient service at the main campus (≈6-8 weeks per year)

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Engage in quality improvement and program development

Provide direct patient care services on an inpatient and outpatient basis

Provide subspecialty consultations and follow‑up

Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services/procedures

Provide urgent/emergent care as necessary

Support patient satisfaction goals and divisional quality standards

Practice contemporary evidence‑based medicine

Divisional Responsibilities

Establish and demonstrate effort to achieve annual physician goals and objectives (individual, division, hospital)

Support the medical education programs and activities of the division, including supervision of trainees and allied health care professionals for inpatient and outpatient services, conduct teaching rounds, lectures, and conferences, and participate in postgraduate continuing educational activities

Support the research endeavors of the division including initiatives by other members

Support programmatic growth of the division and satellite efforts when appropriate

Support the division chief in liaison activities to the professional community and public as requested

Qualifications

MD or DO degree

Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

Eligible for Arizona licensure

Strong commitment to clinical excellence and teamwork
