Job Description Job Title: Registered Nurse, Aesthetic Ambulatory Surgery Center
Responsible To: RN Charge Nurse, ASC
Responsible For: Aesthetic Surgery Patients – Procedural/Surgical Care – Preop, Post OP and Interoperative
Overtime Status: PT - 2 ten hour days per week
Job Summary:
Responsible for providing professional nursing care in the Peri-op, PACU and Ambulatory Surgery setting for patients.
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:
Patient Care–
Preoperative assessments
Patient education/answer questions related to procedure
Start IVs and medications
Monitor Vitals
OR Circulator – assist in OR
Monitor patients in recovery (PACU)
Address questions/complications/concerns
Educate patients/families on discharge instructions
Collaboration and Communication-
Work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities in EHR.
Responds to and triage incoming surgery patient calls (preop and post-op).
Quality and Safety-
Adhere to ASC policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of care delivery.
Ensure proper handling and disposal of medications and medical supplies.
Stay current with best practices and advancements in ambulatory surgery nursing.
Maintain patient confidentiality.
Professional Development-
Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations.

Qualifications-
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.
BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
PALS certification preferred
Minimum of 2-3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a surgical or periop but new graduates are welcome to apply and will also be considered.
