As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening in Oakland, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Perform screening-related duties for people, packages, freight, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location, following established post orders and reporting concerns to site leadership.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner and document observations in accordance with site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including shipping, receiving, warehouse, and perimeter areas, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
Support logistics and distribution operations by monitoring access points, verifying credentials and/or shipment information, and helping to deter unauthorized activity through visible presence and routine observation.
At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
