Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit
Schedule

• Weekend requirement: Minimum 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday)
• Holiday shifts: Assigned as needed per unit

- BLS

- NIHSS

• Missouri state RN license or Compact RN license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Preferred: ACLS
• Required: 1-2 years of RN experience

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a progressive care setting.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and interpret telemetry data to manage dysrhythmias effectively.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including the management of IVs and central lines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams.
• Perform assessments and interventions for conditions such as sepsis, stroke, renal failure, and ETOH withdrawal.
• Implement and adhere to safety and infection control protocols.

• Orientation: 12 hours
• Pre-approved time off: 1 (per contract)

• Core docs due: 2 Fridays before start date
• Pre-start modules: 10-15 hours total; due Monday 1 week prior to start
• Labs: Complete within 48-72 hours of signing
• Complete Epic training module first (RNs may test out or take the module)
• Infusion pump and glucometer training: Complete by the Sunday prior to start
• Local candidate rule: No local candidates within a 75-mile radius.
