Valid nursing license required
Hiring process includes profile review and interview with the unit manager. The unit has 16 surgical suites with an average of 30 cases per day, including 1-2 open-heart cases. Charge Nurse/House Supervisor oversees operations alongside a team of eight surgical techs. Shifts are scheduled from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with negotiable shift preferences. Call requirements include one weekday per week and one weekend per month, with a response time of 30 minutes. Team members have access to on-site accommodations during call. Team members are required to wear hospital-provided light blue scrubs. Cancellation policy allows for up to four shifts to be canceled per assignment. The charting system used is EPIC. Trauma level and care setting are categorized under acute nursing.
