Bestica is seeking a travel nurse RN Behavioral Health for a travel nursing job in Kansas City, Missouri.

Patient Ratios: nurses 8 to 1, mht’s 12:1

Unit Staffing: ADOL unit takes patients from 12-18 yo, Serenity is a lower acuity adult unit, ITU is the higher acuity adult unit for patients with thought disorder diagnoses, SRAD serves senior lifestyle patients, VINE is a lower acuity adult unit.

Documentation System: Meditech

Scheduling: Coverage required for three 12‑hour shifts each day, seven days a week, including weekends. Days off are not guaranteed unless specified in the contract.

On Call Requirements: NA

Floating Policy: C/L is utilized where the greatest need is.

Patient Experience: HCA follows ICARE values; I CARE values include integrity, compassion, always, and respect. AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explanation, Thank you) is used to keep patients informed and heard.

Certifications: BLS and CPI required.

Skill Set: Ability to assess patients' mental health status, recognize signs of psychiatric disorders, substance use, and behavioral problems. Involves taking thorough patient histories, observing behavior, and using diagnostic tools.

Care Planning: Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs, set goals, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
