To provide uniform patrol and police services to the university community on all property owned or controlled by the University of Northern Colorado.
Conducts field interviews of suspicious persons/conduct, investigates criminal actions, collects evidence, interviews victims/witnesses/suspects, makes arrests or detentions as appropriate. Completes reports for University administrative action. Testifies in court and at university hearings. 5% Responds to medical emergencies and renders first aid care until the arrival of Paramedics. Assists with rescue, carry litter, supplies special equipment as needed, climb ladders. 10% Provides assistance and support to the University Community through money escorts, crowd control at athletic events, security at concerts and parties, performing security surveys, developing and presenting crime prevention programs, providing motorist assists, unlocking facilities, delivering emergency messages, checking security of buildings.
5% Provides assistance and support to the Community of Greeley and Evans by participating in mutual aid activities with Greeley and Evans Police Departments. fire, intrusion, robbery, panic. 5% Participates in training, both in-service and specialized. Maintains proficiency with firearms, arrest control, defensive tactics and first aid skills.
