Day Custodian (School Cleaning)

Dayporter / CustodianWestmoreland Academy is looking for a proactive, dependable Dayporter to keep our facilities clean, organized, and ready for students, staff, and visitors. You'll play an essential behind-the-scenes role in supporting a positive school experience every day.What You'll DoClean and sanitize classrooms, restrooms, offices, and common areasMaintain restrooms and restock suppliesRemove trash and recycling and keep spaces orderlySweep, mop, dust, and spot-clean carpets, walls, doors, and high-touch surfacesKeep lunchroom and coffee areas clean and welcomingRespond to service requests and emergency callsSupport special event setups and school activitiesProactively inspect facilities and address cleanliness needsQualificationsGED + 2 years of general maintenance, custodial, and/or landscape experienceSuccessful FBI and state background checkNegative TB testEnvironment & Physical RequirementsWork in a moderate-to-loud environment that may occasionally be emotionally challenging.Ability to carry, push, pull, and move objects such as desks, chairs, and boxes.Frequent and prolonged standing, walking, bending, stooping, and crouching.Ability to physically prompt and escort students when necessary.Ability to safely perform student physical management and containment in accordance with PRO-ACT, CPI, and/or other approved behavioral intervention practices.Why This Role MattersYour work helps create a clean, safe, and welcoming campus so our staff can focus on what matters most: supporting our students.Ready to make a difference every day?
