This new OCED will provide 24/7 ED-level care in a highly collaborative, fast-paced setting. The Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) provides direct patient care to patients and their families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. May provide care to patients of various ages. May also perform waived and moderately complex point of care testing and associated quality activities outlined in protocol and procedures; obtain blood samples from patients, transport samples and other potentially bio-hazardous specimen for point of care.**Per Diem / Nights****Qualifications*** High School Diploma or equivalent required.* Health Care Provider CPR Certification is required upon hire.* Washington State Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) required or will consider Washington State Nursing Assistant Registration (NAR) + Washington State Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist (MA-P)* Minimum of one year recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact is preferred.* Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred. Computer familiarity is preferred. Knowledge and handling of hospital equipment, record keeping.
