Senior Mechanical Engineer (Direct Hire) - Franklin, MA
Join a dynamic engineering team leading the design and development of advanced mechanical systems for cutting-edge defense and commercial applications. This direct hire opportunity offers the chance to influence full product lifecycle development from concept and prototyping to production and sustainment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mechanical engineering design, integration, and product development initiatives
Serve as technical authority across multiple programs
Oversee the full product lifecycle, including the transition from prototype to production
Conduct system-level analysis (tolerance studies, manufacturability, trade-offs)
Drive engineering change management, configuration control, and design reviews
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers
Develop and implement engineering processes and best practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
7+ years of mechanical engineering experience (12+ preferred)
Strong background in product lifecycle development and technical leadership
Proficiency with 3D CAD tools (PTC Creo and/or SolidWorks)
Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and detailed technical drawings
Ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. Department of Defense security clearance (active Secret clearance required)
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, evolving environments
Compensation
Target salary: $110K-$225K (flexible based on experience)
