Job Description A Registered Dental Hygienist plays a vital role in our dental practice, focusing on routine preventive care and periodontal maintenance. This position involves being a great team member and providing exceptional patient care, patient screening, oral health assessments, regular dental cleanings, scaling and root planing, and periodontal maintenance. Collaborating closely with other team members and our dentist is necessary to give our patients the best care, to support treatment planning, and to maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Responsibilities
Conduct patient screenings and oral health assessments, including screening for periodontal disease
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing and periodontal maintenance
Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
Assess patient risk and infection control compliance
Take and process dental radiographs using digital technology
Collaborate with the dentist on treatment planning
Maintain clinical documentation and computerized patient records

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum 1 year experience in dental hygiene
Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
Local Anesthetic Under General Supervision License
Proficient in oral health assessment and dental radiography
Strong knowledge of infection control procedures
Effective patient education and communication skills
Attention to detail and accurate record management
Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a dental team
