TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Alton, Illinois, 62002!

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical
Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical unit managing common diagnoses including sepsis, CHF, stroke, pneumonia, hypoxia, and post-surgical patients
Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–6 based on patient acuity
Monitor telemetry via Philips telemetry system; read strips as needed on the unit
Manage patients on BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and Airvo equipment (no titration of O2 required)
Adhere to weekend and holiday rotation requirements; every other weekend and every other holiday required
Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
Ability to work 12-hour night shifts including rotating weekends and holidays
Must comply with a drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen
Experience reading telemetry strips
Prior Medical-Surgical nursing experience with high-acuity patient populations
Supportive unit structure with a free-charge nurse, CNAs/PCTs, and dedicated monitor techs providing additional clinical support on every shift
Structured orientation program with preceptor and educator support to set you up for success
