Good Samaritan is a growing not-for-profit, community-based palliative care and hospice in need of a Registered Nurse to bring comfort, compassion and quality care to patients and families during business hours.

Responsibilities of the Hospice RN include, but are not limited to, the following:
Appropriately handle calls either by phone or with home or facility visit when necessary or requested.
Provide education and emotional support for patients and families.
Must electronically communicate all activity when on-call shift ends.
Document pertinent calls and visits electronically.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Current Virginia State Board of Nursing License - Required
Two years experience in acute care, home health, long term care, or geriatric nursing. - Required
Ability to work independently & capable of dealing with terminally ill patients. - Required
Virginia driver license, good driving record and reliable transportation. - Required
Must have computer experience. - Required
