Role Description The Service Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Clifton Park, NY, responsible for overseeing day-to-day service operations and ensuring timely, high-quality work for retail customers. This role coordinates service technicians, manages schedules, and monitors job progress. The Service Manager collaborates with office staff and field teams to resolve service issues, allocate resources, and maintain safety and compliance standards. Daily responsibilities include communicating with clients, preparing and reviewing work orders, proposals, and supporting continuous improvement in service delivery. The role also involves coaching team members to follow company SOPs.
Qualifications Service operations and team management skills, including scheduling, workload planning, and performance oversight.
Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and respond to urgent retail service needs.
Basic technical understanding of retail facility services (e.g., lighting, maintenance, construction) and ability to collaborate effectively with service technicians.
Organizational and problem-solving skills, including attention to detail, time management, and ability to handle multiple service requests simultaneously.
Ability to manage a high volume of communication from Email and phone.
Experience in retail, facilities management, construction, or a related service industry strongly preferred.
Proficiency with common office software and service management tools for tracking work orders, reporting, and documentation.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or education in management, facilities, or construction is a plus.
