Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center provides the gold standard in quality care for Virginia's Veterans. This single-level facility features 200 single-occupancy rooms across three nursing units. Sitter & Barfoot Veterans Care Center (SBVCC) is recruiting for a Part-time Housekeeper/Porter for various shift positions and will include every other weekend. Job duties include:

Ensuring the facility is kept clean by dusting, mopping, sweeping, damp/wet mopping, polishing, scrubbing, vacuuming, trash removal and for the removal of bio-hazard waste.
Keeping their assigned areas clean and attractive.
Promoting sanitary conditions to prevent the spread of infection.
Ensuring all equipment is in working order.
Completing their daily routine however, each staff member is cross-trained in all other areas of Environmental Services and can be asked to perform other duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
1 Year Prior Housekeeping experience required.
Additional Considerations
Experience working in a long-term care facility or hospital preferred. Experience stripping and waxing floors, extracting and bonnet cleaning of carpets.
