Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to Med Surg patients per established standards and policies

Assess, monitor, and document patient condition; administer medications and therapies; manage IVs and wound care

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team; communicate changes in patient status; elevate as needed

Document care in the Meditech EMR accurately and in a timely manner

Assist with discharge planning, patient and family education, and transition planning

Float to rehabilitation as needed based on census and unit needs; ensure safe transfers and referrals

Requirements

Ability to work the 7:00 pm–7:00 am night shift

Proficiency with Meditech EMR

Experience in medical-surgical nursing or a comparable setting

Willingness to float to rehab unit based on census

Ability to work effectively in a hospital Med Surg environment in Oklahoma
