Our comprehensive VA Medical Center is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Chief of Psychiatry to help lead our Mental Health Service in delivering world-class, Veteran-centered care.

Highlights

Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a predictable, balanced schedule. Typical hours are M–F, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Leadership Role: Serve as a key partner to the Mental Health Chief, sharing clinical, administrative, and educational leadership responsibilities. Approximately 50% clinical and 50% administrative duties.

Academic Engagement: Guide the training and mentorship of Fellows, Residents, and Medical Students, with the opportunity for a faculty appointment at the Indiana University School of Medicine. Collaborative research opportunities are also available.

Physician Qualifications

MD or DO degree

Successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency

Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or District of Columbia

Board Certified in Psychiatry

Prior leadership, supervisory, or administrative experience in a clinical setting preferred

Compensation: Competitive salary with regular increases and an annual performance bonus of up to $15,000.
