Van Delivery Drive

Primary Duties Responsible for the daily pickup and delivery of assigned employees between their pickup locations and job site or other destination according to assigned schedule and designated routes.

Perform daily inspection of vehicle to include, but not limited to ensuring that the tires are in good condition, oil and water are at appropriate levels, the exterior of the van has not been damaged, etc.; Responsible for the daily pickup and delivery of Food Service Workers in a safe and timely manner to job site, or other destination according to assigned schedule and designated routes.
Maintain logbook, documenting all pickups and deliveries accurately and completely.
Maintain open communication with supervisor and report any problems to supervisor immediately.
Operate cell phone to communicate with supervisor, sites, parents, or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
Report any suggested change in routes that will lead to more efficient transportation of employees.
Additional Responsibilities Ensure that employees/route listing, directions and maps are in the van.
Participate in all other training required by funding sources and Corporation.
Qualifications Education, Experience, and Certification(s) High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) preferred. Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Basic ability to operate a computer using Microsoft Office software. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
