What You\'ll Do as a PRN On‑Call RN As a Registered Nurse, you play a vital role in assessing patient needs and delivering timely, skilled care during on‑call hours. Conducting patient visits to assess nursing needs

Completing initial evaluation visits and developing individualized plans of care

Performing ongoing comprehensive assessments and revising care plans as needed

Providing skilled nursing treatments and educating patients and caregivers on disease processes, self‑care, and prevention

Initiating preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures as ordered

Communicating directly with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to ensure continuity of care

Re‑evaluating patient needs and assisting with discharge planning

Supervising LPNs, vocational nurses, and home health aides when needed

Practicing infection control and reporting any signs of abuse

Assisting with office tasks and new‑nurse orientation when required

Your work ensures patients receive safe, compassionate, and effective care when they need it most.

Qualifications Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing

Active RN license in Oklahoma

At least 1 year of nursing experience

Ability to travel long distances and adapt to changing schedules

Home health, critical care, or emergency room experience preferred
