Head of Project Management

Project ManagerManages the entire project lifecycle from project definition through implementation. Accountable for meeting agreed upon scope, cost, schedule and quality measures. Develops project plan and drives project milestones. Establishes effective communication plan with project team and key stakeholders. Provides day-to-day direction to project resources and ensures the project teams are provided the resources and support that enable the teams to reach their defined objectives. Ensures effective change management occurs throughout the course of the project. Responsible for preparation of documentation and status reports. Role requires excellent oral and written communications, interpersonal, negotiation, project planning, judgment, leadership, decision-making, analysis and problem-solving skills. Expert Knowledge of MS Office.This role supports transmission-side capital projects within a regulated utility environment. The Project Manager will act as the internal owner of project scope, coordinating closely with EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) partners who handle engineering and construction execution. Responsibilities include overseeing projects from early planning and inception through construction and close-out, ensuring alignment on scope, schedule, budget, and milestones. Experience with linear infrastructure projects (especially electric transmission) is highly preferred.Strong project management experienceExperience working within an EPC modelBackground in utility, transmission, or large-scale linear infrastructure projectsAbility to manage full project lifecycle (initiation through close-out preferred)Strong organizational and communication skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, evolving environmentComfortable taking initiative and asking questionsStrong relationship-building skillsMinimum 5 years of experience required; 8+ years strongly preferred. Ideal candidates have experience in regulated utility environments, particularly electric transmission projects. Candidates with linear infrastructure experience (pipelines, roads) are also considered.Experience with large investor-owned utilities such as Xcel Energy, Southern California Edison, PG&E, Duke Energy, or similar is highly valued. Candidates from major electrical contractors or engineering firms that focus on transmission projects are also a strong fit.No required certifications. PMP is a strong plus. An engineering background with a PE is also nice to have but not required.Experience with SAPExperience with SharePointForecasting tools (e.g., TamCasting or similar)Strong Microsoft Office skills
