Cardiac Stepdown / PCU / IMC

Role: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)

Acute care hospital, inpatient stepdown unit

Shift: 12-hour nights, 3x12 schedule (1845-0715); Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000-$2,100

Charting System: Cerner

Active Illinois RN license required at time of submission

Minimum 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience required

Travel nursing experience required

Experience in cardiac stepdown, telemetry, intermediate care, or progressive care preferred

Ability to care for adult patients with complex medical and cardiac conditions

Comfort using Cerner or similar electronic health record systems

Must be able to float within scope to meet facility needs

Must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays

Provide high-quality nursing care for adult patients with cardiac and complex medical needs

Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias in a fast-paced acute care environment

Manage cardiac, vasoactive, and other drips within unit guidelines

Care for patients with chest tubes, tracheostomies, ventilators, and other advanced needs as assigned

Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to promote safe patient flow

Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner and communicate clearly with the care team

Float as needed within scope to support unit and hospital operations
