Registered Nurse - PCU
Location: South Carolina
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: Day shifts: 3x12 hours (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend coverage required.
Job Description: The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with critical needs. This role involves monitoring patient vitals, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
Provide nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced environment.
Monitor patients and report any significant changes in condition.
Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation.
Coordinate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
Assist with procedures, including cardiac monitoring and medication drips.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a PCU or similar setting.
Current South Carolina RN license.
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
Experience with EPIC charting is preferred.
