Graduate Nurse - Emergency Department - Evening/Night

Location: 100 Grand Street, New Britain (10126)

Shift: Evening shift, 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM x 3 nights per week, EOW/EOH

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute‑care community teaching hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine, surgery, and a range of specialties.

The Emergency Department is a 47‑bed unit that serves approximately 80,000‑85,000 patients annually. It is known for efficient, collaborative, patient‑centric care.

Responsibilities

As a registered nurse, you will work under the direction of the Nurse Manager to provide patient care according to evidence‑based practices and the State Nurse Practice Act. You will develop individualized care plans that address patients’ physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, maintain patient safety, and communicate effectively with patients and families.

Qualifications

Registered Nurse (RN) with a current Connecticut license (required)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Experience in Emergency Medicine (Preferred)

New graduates eligible for supervised practice per state guidelines
