Registered Nurses provide nursing care to a group of patients for a designated time frame and will routinely lead team of care providers.
Responsible to Director of ICU
Education

~ Associates Degree Nurse or Bachelor of Science Nursing Degree

Training and Experience

• Current registration with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
• Obtains and maintains American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider
• 1 - 2 years previous critical care experience preferred

Lab Work
Immunization Records

Risk of electrical shock – continually
Risk of Radiation –rarely
Chemicals – frequently
Moving Mechanical Parts – occasionally
Bloodborne Exposure (Refer to Bloodborne Exposure Control Plan in Policy Tech for possible exposure tasks)

~ Respirator Fit Testing Required

~ Age of Patient Populations Served:

Children 1 - 12 years
Adults 19 - 70 years
Associates or better in Nursing.
Bachelors or better in Nursing.
