Pharmacist - Flex
Baton Rouge General
1 year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or hospital environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Pharmacy Technician Certificate from the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy.
Serve as the vital link between prescribers, patients, and pharmacy operations, promoting the pharmacy service offerings while ensuring a seamless medication access experience for patients.
Assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing drugs, maintaining inventory, and keeping accurate records.
Collaborate with leadership, physicians, and support staff to promote expanded pharmacy program utilization.
Stay current on drug access programs and coordinate educational and outreach activities.
Streamline refill requests and communication between pharmacy, prescribers, and patients.
Recommend improvements to sales materials and workflow efficiency.
Procure and distribute patient medications as requested per policies and protocols.
Maintain medication stock levels, rotate and restock inventory, and prepackage medications for pediatric/neonatal use.
Participate in departmental quality improvement activities, inspections, and data collection.
