Job Description
This position operates within an outpatient department, assisting patients and medical staff within an ambulatory care setting. The role is responsible for the overall operation of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical services by collaborating with providers and clinic staff to ensure high-quality care and efficient resource utilization, while complying with organizational standards.
Lead and direct clinic staff to ensure efficient operation of all aspects of the clinic, including front desk responsibilities and patient care.
Maintain medication inventory and monitor supplies not managed through the Warehouse PAR system.
Conduct necessary quality control checks for Point of Care tests.
Document all care and services provided clearly and accurately, fulfilling nursing duties in a professional and timely manner.
Oversee the daily opening and closing activities of provider clinics.
Assist healthcare providers and staff as needed, anticipating their needs to ensure efficient patient care.
Communicate effectively with other departments, serving as a resource for patients, providers, and clinic staff.
Qualifications
Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or another U.S. state.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
~ Minimum two years of primary care experience.

Knowledge and Skills
Strong understanding of the nursing process and its application in a clinical environment.
Familiarity with customer service principles and safety protocol, including infection control.
Ability to complete patient assessments and specimens collection.
Proficiency in utilizing computers and medical equipment.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Capacity to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to teach and share knowledge with colleagues.
Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills to maintain positive working relations with other staff and departments.
Readiness to seek assistance in unfamiliar or challenging situations.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently stands, walks, sits, uses hands to handle or feel, and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally, the employee climbs or balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls, and must be able to lift and/or move 50 pounds.
