Facilities Maintenance Handyman (Manufacturing)

ColonialWebb is looking for a Facility Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repair of medium to large complex manufacturing equipment and associated control systems. This Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment and preventative maintenance (pm) records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and facilities management, with a solid understanding of MEP.

Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components

Troubleshoot and repair motors, gears, and mechanical assemblies

Obtain purchase orders and make small purchases required during the performance of work, including maintaining sufficient inventory; conduct inventory of all standard maintenance stock

Maintain consistent compliance with company policies and procedures as they relate to proper completion of departmental documentation such as, but not limited to, time cards, work orders, maintenance logs, machine safety sheets, maintenance machine book, and material and equipment return tags

Work jointly with other maintenance technicians as required

This applies to the individual as well as his/her tools and equipment as well as customer property

Five years experience in a maintenance role with machinery and equipment

Understanding of mechanical systems (gears, belts, motors), and the ability to diagnose and repair mechanical issues
