Night Shift Cardiovascular Nurse RN

Registered Nurse

Variable shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on unit need. Refer back to posting on which shift is available. Weekend and holiday shifts are required. Will float to different departments. This position is based within Jefferson Regional JSS- Pool Department.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the nursing leader, the Registered Nurse is responsible for the quality of care for an assigned caseload of patients. This includes delegating duties appropriately and directing staff in the delivery of care, assuring responsibility for the appropriate utilization of resources, collaborating with medical staff and others in the provision of care, and demonstrating positive interpersonal relationships with others in communication and problem resolution. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the hospital setting. Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.

Registered Nurse Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Technical Diploma in Nursing required. Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.

Current valid Arkansas Registered Nurse Licensure

BLS/CPR required prior to patient care.

ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC certification required within 1 year of hire if applicable to the department that you will float to.

Minimum Requirements:

Proficiency in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams

Capacity to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals

Proficient competency in documenting patient information accurately

Flexibility to adapt to changes in patient conditions and unit priorities.

Attention to detail

Provides compassionate support to patients and families, ensuring positive environment in the hospital

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Minimum 3 years of RN experience

Preferred Requirements:

• 5+ years of clinical experience, particularly in an acute care setting
• Experience floating in several different department of an acute care facility
