Infection Prevention RN PT

Under general supervision, plans, directs, and evaluates total nursing care and functions within the organization, in accordance with established philosophy.

Provides the best possible nursing care by planning, organizing, and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit.
Initiates and implements patient education and care plan.
Makes nursing assignments appropriate to the skill level of employees.
Maintains acceptable standards of patient care.
Accurately and promptly implements physicians' orders.
Arranges to have needed supplies and equipment on hand.
Participates in planning changes and improvements.
Participates in hospital safety and security programs.
Supports and enforces infection-control policies and procedures.
Is resourceful and calm in emergencies.
Keeps the Nursing Supervisor informed of patients, needs, and problems on the nursing unit.
Participates in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
Evaluates the performance of personnel with recommendations for appropriate action.
Assists in reviewing and revising policies and procedures.
Observes and supports hospital policy.
Cooperates and maintains good rapport with nursing staff, medical staff, other departments, and visitors.
Provides Trauma-Informed Care.
Identifies appropriate nursing diagnosis and documents within the plan of care.
Collects referral information and presents to the psychiatric provider accordingly.
Promotes holistic care that guards against negative patient outcomes.
Provides diverse care to connect with the individualized needs of each client, including families/caregiver.
Graduate of an accredited program in nursing.
Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN) preferred.
Active State of Ohio Registered Nurse Nursing License.
Basic computer skills.
