AvMed, a division of Sentara Health Plans in the Florida market, is hiring an Underwriter- Remote!

Status: Full-Time permanent position (40 hours)

Location: Remote opportunities available in the following states: The Underwriter is responsible for evaluating, assessing, and managing the risk associated with insuring individuals or businesses. This role involves reviewing applications for insurance coverage, determining the terms and conditions of policies, and making decisions about whether to approve or decline coverage based on risk assessments and company guidelines. The Underwriter utilizes statistical data, financial statements, and other relevant information to make informed decisions, ensuring that policies are both competitive and profitable for the organization.

BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree REQUIRED

The base pay rate for Full Time employment is: $53,248 - $88,753.6. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
