The Department of Executive Medicine is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse 2 to work in Miami Beach, FL.

The Registered Nurse 2 delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service while ensuring population-specific patient care. The Registered Nurse 2 oversees nurses and allied health staff in their daily practice.

Core responsibilities include assessing assigned patients, evaluating plans, documenting nursing care, reporting symptoms and changes in patients' condition, consulting with physicians, preparing patients for examinations and procedures, administering medications, communicating plans of care, using available resources to assist in discharge planning, planning and prioritizing assignments, adapting to changing work demands, serving as a preceptor, and adhering to University and unit-level policies.

Core qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, a valid State of Florida RN license, minimum 2 years of relevant experience, learning agility, teamwork, technical proficiency, and strong communication skills.

Department specific functions include assessing physical and psychosocial status of patients, assisting physicians in medical procedures, managing refills and referrals, maintaining EMR inbox, performing phlebotomy and other medical procedures, responsible for calling patients with results, assisting with clinic equipment and supply orders, working with the Executive Health team, interacting with high profile patients, adapting to changing work demands, and adhering to University and Department level policies.

Department specific qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Registered Nurse License, Basic Life Support Certification (BLS), minimum 2 years of nursing experience, ability to recognize and solve problems, ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
