Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | 36-hour weekly guarantee | Every other weekend required (Fri & Sat nights)
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Telemetry unit with PCU-capable beds, maintaining nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 (Telemetry) and 1:3 (PCU/Stepdown)
Monitor and validate telemetry interpretations using Philips monitoring systems, documenting findings every 4 hours or more frequently as needed
Administer and manage IV drip medications including Cardizem, amiodarone, Bumex, Lasix, Integrilin, octreotide, and Protonix
Care for patients with common diagnoses including AMI, Stroke/TIA, pneumonia, renal/dialysis, AFib with RVR, SIRS, and diabetes mellitus
Collaborate with 24/7 support services including hospitalists, respiratory therapy, and pharmacy; coordinate care with charge nurses, HUCs, tele techs, and PCTs
Float to other medical-surgical units as needed
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience, including experience in a MedSurg acute care setting
Ability to independently validate and document telemetry monitor interpretations
Competency with IV medication administration including cardiac drips
Ability to work every other weekend per unit requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of Telemetry or PCU/Stepdown nursing experience
• Prior experience caring for patients requiring high-flow oxygen or home CPAP management
• Familiarity with Philips telemetry monitoring systems
