This fully remote position will support a variety of federal government construction projects, requiring hands-on experience preparing and managing cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include leading estimating efforts, overseeing quality control, communicating cost strategies to clients and A/E consultants, conducting estimate reconciliations, and partnering with internal stakeholders.Responsibilities:Create estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations at all levels of project development.Provide conceptual-level estimates, detailed quantity take-off, change order reviews/reconciliations, and value engineering solutions as necessaryProvide a detailed review of all documentation and develop comprehensive cost estimates/models that communicate the client's project and strategic goalsEnsure a quality product is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC proceduresCommunicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goalsActively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining the accuracy of cost informationSupport business development efforts by developing, promoting, and maintaining client relationships by creating cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, presentations, etc.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience as a cost estimating professional, preferably in a consulting environment, with experience in conceptual estimating, quantity takeoffs, change order review and reconciliation, value engineering, and cost analysis.Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and analyze construction documents at all stages of design.Proficiency with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and MII/PACES estimating software.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.Ability and willingness to travel periodically as required.Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive background check and obtain HSPD-12 Federal Contractor clearance.Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.Remote flexibilityCompany-sponsored Medical/Dental/Vision and Life Insurance401K Program with a Company MatchPaid Holidays / Sick Leave / Vacation AccrualCompany Team Building, Employee Events, and a fun, people-first environmentCompensation: $145,000.00 - $185,000.00OCMI, Inc.
