Emergency Department Pediatrician

The Department of Pediatrics at Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children's Medical Center of New York is seeking board-eligible/board-certified General Pediatricians to join their Emergency Department's Fast Track area. This role involves providing thoughtful and timely patient care to a growing pediatric community, utilizing basic ED procedural skills. The center is a leading pediatric teaching hospital and a Level-1 Pediatric Trauma Center within the Northwell Health System.Practice InfoPractice in the Fast Track area of the Emergency Department at CCMC.The PEM team consists of 33 attendings, 9 fellows, and 6 advance care providers.The department layout includes 33 individual patient exam rooms and 2 critical care/trauma bays.The facility is the busiest American College of Surgeons Pediatric Level 1 Trauma Center in NY state, with approximately 70,000 visits a year.There is a dedicated behavioral health area and a behavioral health urgicenter.The nursing staff has received Magnet designation and the Lantern award from the Emergency Nurse's Association.ResponsibilitiesProvide thoughtful and timely patient care to the pediatric community.CompensationSalary: Commensurate with ExperienceHighly competitive salaryBenefitsGenerous benefits packageRequirementsBE/BC General PediatriciansComfortable with basic ED procedural skills
