Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with a FL or compact license and at least 1 year of OR experience for a fast-paced surgical unit.
Details

Work in the Operating Room of a short-term acute care hospital with 72 staffed beds
Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM-5:00 PM
Patient ratios: 1:4 days, 1:1 nights, 1:1 weekends
Weekend shifts required
On-call coverage required, including 1 day per week and 1 weekend per month (Saturday 6:30 AM-Monday 6:30 AM) with a 30-minute response time for case notification
No floating required outside assigned unit
Cerner EMR used, experience preferred
Requirements

Active FL or compact RN license required
BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR certifications preferred
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room experience required
Cerner charting system experience preferred
Skills in gynecologic, orthopedic, general, urologic, ENT, and endoscopic surgical procedures preferred
Experience with robotic surgery systems (Da Vinci Xi) and specialized OR equipment (cell saver, electrosurgical units, Steris) preferred
Must complete pass/fail EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)
Additional Information

Perform scrub and circulating duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including general, orthopedic, gynecologic, urologic, ENT, and robotic procedures
Royal blue scrubs required
COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions accepted
Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
Former permanent employees must wait at least 12 months before returning to the facility as a traveler
