About the Position

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (LDRP)

Contract | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | 13-Week Assignment | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care on an LDRP unit with couplet care, maintaining a 1:4 patient ratio
Perform and assist with sterile speculum exams, assessing effacement, dilation, station, and presentation
Apply and interpret external and internal fetal monitoring, including recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
Support breastfeeding and provide lactation assistance to postpartum patients
Float to assist other units as needed without taking primary assignments
Fulfill call requirements including two mandatory on-call shifts per six-week schedule and every other weekend
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in NC or a Compact state
Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
Prior travel nursing experience required
Current BLS, AWHONN, and NRP certifications
Proficiency with external and internal fetal monitoring (EFM) and LDRP/Mother-Baby care
Familiarity with Pyxis and SBAR communication framework
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
Previous experience in a high-volume Labor and Delivery setting
