Description:
This is a contract position for an RN specializing in Labor and Delivery.
The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
No call is required for this position.
The unit consists of 12 LDR beds, 5 Ante Partum beds, 4 OBED beds, and 3 OR rooms.
There are 72 staff members, including nursing and surgical staff.
Patient ratios are 1:2 and 1:1, based on transition and acuity.
The unit is equipped with Alaris Pumps and CADD epidural pumps.
Typical procedures performed include C-sections, SVD, D&C, and twin deliveries.
Candidates with experience in High Risk OB, including massive transfusion situations, will be prioritized.
The ideal candidate should be highly engaged, motivated, and maintain a positive outlook.
Self-scheduling is utilized for shifts, promoting team collaboration.
The team is a mix of experienced staff and newer nurses, fostering a supportive work environment.
Physicians maintain strong relationships with the nursing staff.
