The Electrical Engineer III plays a key role in the successful execution of projects from start to finish for our MFG group. This individual will provide technical and engineering excellence, as well as successful delivery of work to our customers. The Electrical Engineer III is responsible for a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring expectations are clearly communicated and managed - both externally and internally. This person will also actively support the business development process, through the writing of proposals and meeting with prospective and current customers. This Electrical Engineer III will be self-directed but thrive in an environment where consultation leads to superior differentiators. The successful candidate will have a pragmatic and applied approach, while at the same time bringing a creative examination of customer needs and solutions.
Supports the design of building power and lighting systems. Prepares engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet contracted scope of work and to ensure application of Electrical Engineering Principles.
Perform arc fault analysis.
Coordinates work with other departments and project team members as well as contractors.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future.
Minimum of 8 years' electrical engineering experience following graduation.
Professional Engineering (PE) certification or willingness to pursue this designation.
Project experience and a working knowledge of Electrical design for building projects.
Knowledge in both Revit and AutoCAD.
Strong electrical design expertise across various industries and processes.
Comprehensive understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Structural Engineering construction practices.
Experience in infrastructure design for manufacturing facilities.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers.
Ability to establish rapport and credibility with customers and other stakeholders.
Adaptable and agile, responsive to quick changes in direction.
Knowledge of computer technology and specific areas of application, including MS Office.
Travel: May include up to 25% domestic travel.
Some work locations will feature the tough terrain typical of construction sites or require lifting or moving field testing equipment.
