Pharmacist (PRN) - Pharmacy

Oversees the preparation and dispensing of medication, medication order verification, insures the monitoring of patient medication therapy. Acts as a resource for the provision of medication information for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Supervises and directs pharmacy support personnel to ensure the timeliness of medication administration. Follows approved policies, procedures, protocols, regulatory standards, in executing job responsibilities. What You'll Do As a PRN Pharmacist, you will oversee all aspects of medication management and help optimize patient outcomes through clinical expertise and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Pharmacy Operations

Ensure pharmacy services are delivered efficiently and in a timely manner.
Verify the accuracy of compounded and prepared medications completed by pharmacy technicians and support staff.
Follow all departmental policies, procedures, protocols, and regulatory standards related to medication preparation and distribution.
Assist with operational leadership and supervise pharmacy technicians and support personnel as needed.
Quality, Safety & Compliance

Comply with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, patient safety standards, medication-use safety practices, infection prevention, and security protocols.
Adhere to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Utilize internal and external resources to support continuous pharmacy operational improvement.
Training & Professional Development

Participate in the orientation and training of pharmacists, technicians, residents, students, and support staff.
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited school or college of pharmacy.
Current Pharmacist License issued by the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
Previous retail pharmacy experience.
Pharmacists practicing in Missouri must obtain a Medication Therapy Services Certificate issued by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire.
