Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Intermediate Medical Care / Progressive Care – Wisconsin Start Date: November 9, 2026
Schedule: 12-hour shifts available in both Evening/Night (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) and Day/Evening (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) rotations. Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. Patient ratio of 3:1 across all shifts.
Work in a Magnet-designated facility ranked as Wisconsin's #1 hospital and recognized as one of the nation's leading teaching institutions
Care for diverse patient populations including thoracic surgery patients (lobectomies, esophagectomies, lung volume reduction surgery), cardiac surgery stepdown patients, and hospitalist patients
Utilize Epic charting system in a progressive care environment with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
Work within IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and IMC Thoracic specialty units caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
Engage with advanced procedures including chest tube management, ventilator care, and transplant patient care

Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required
Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in relevant specialty
Telemetry oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience required
ICU or IMC and surgical post-op experience required; Epic charting system experience required
Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start (strict passing criteria apply)
Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
Cardiac telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management
Pre/post cardiac catheterization and cardiac surgery care
Wound care including wound vac management
