This position will identify, diagnose and resolve process and equipment related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D, KT, FDC and/or SPC methodologies.Additional responsibilities include coordinating and carrying out process, equipment and material evaluations and optimizations, leading and participating in yield improvement and cost reduction activities, handling new component qualifications and managing, auditing and liaising with equipment suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives.Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Maintains current records on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability. Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and reducing equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering organizations. Defines and writes preventative maintenance procedures and schedules.Responsibilities:Ownership of Chemical Vapor Deposition Equipment in a 300mm Wafer FabTroubleshooting and root cause analysis of issues impacting safety, manufacturing availability, wafer output, cost of ownership, scrap, raw process time, and quality.Set up equipment parameters and maintenance plans for semiconductor processing equipmentEvaluation, planning, and execution of new equipment installation, as well as upgrades to, and continuous improvement of, existing equipmentMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering or a related disciplineAbility to work effectively as part of a team in a highly matrixed organizationAbility to work in a cleanroom environmentAbility to effectively troubleshoot complex issuesPreferred Qualifications:Experience with Generative AI and Large Language ModelsExperience with hand tools and diagnostic equipmentDemonstrated ability to identify root causes of performance issues and implement preventative actions to reduce or eliminate equipment failuresFamiliarity with Semiconductor Fabrication methods, Robotics, and Vacuum SystemsAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
