Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Titusville, FL

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend required.

Job Description: We are seeking a qualified Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) with neuro and stroke experience. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment and manage complex medical situations efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.

Stabilize and prepare patients with neurological and stroke conditions for further treatment.

Perform regular assessments, including monitoring vital signs and conducting patient triage.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for integrated patient management.

Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, including IV and emergency medications.

Maintain accurate patient records using Meditech charting system.

Participate in the orientation and training of new staff as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2.5 years of Emergency Department experience.
• 1 year of neuro/stroke experience preferred.
• ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS certifications required; TNCC preferred.
• Must hold a valid RN license in Florida or a compact RN license.
• Experience managing level 1 resuscitation patients.
