CNA, Nursing Home, Night shift

Job Summary: The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential support to patients by assisting with activities of daily living, including bathing, meal setup, and mobility. The CNA may work across two floors and supports the nursing team by delivering compassionate, hands-on care during night shifts in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities:

Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.

Provide routine hygiene care including toileting and incontinent care.

Support patient mobility including ambulation and positioning.

Set up meals and assist patients during meal times.

Float between two floors as needed to meet patient care demands.

Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Report changes in patient condition to licensed nursing staff.

Required Skills & Certifications:

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Current AHA BLS Provider CPR certification.

Ability to provide compassionate and patient-centered care.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Experience working in long-term care or similar healthcare environments.

Familiarity with electronic medical record documentation.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Special Considerations:

Night shift work in a long-term care facility.

May be required to float between two floors.

Work involves direct patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Scheduling:

Night shift schedule with hours totaling 48 per pay period.

Shift assignments may vary between floors based on patient care needs.
