What would you do as a Weekend RN

As an essential member of our team at Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation, the Weekend RN will be responsible for the holistic care of each resident within our facility. This role includes effective communication with floor staff and the administrative team to ensure the continuity of quality care. You will conduct regular rounds, evaluate the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents, and ensuring these needs are met through your dedicated team. Additionally, you will assess the competency of staff in delivering care and implement necessary interventions.

Your responsibilities will encompass preparing and administering medications, consulting with physicians, and diligently documenting care as per facility protocols. Collaboration is key, as you will review care plans and ensure adherence to them while participating in evaluations of your team members and contributing to staff meetings and in-services. To excel as an Weekend RN at Legacy Nursing and Rehabilitation, candidates must possess a blend of critical skills and qualifications. A valid RN license and graduation from an accredited nursing school are prerequisites, ensuring a solid educational foundation. Successful applicants will demonstrate unwavering integrity, remaining free from illegal drug use and any history of mistreatment in healthcare settings. Candidates should be proficient in using nursing software and possess strong computer skills, enabling efficient documentation and communication. Effective verbal and written communication abilities are essential for interpreting technical procedures, writing comprehensive reports, and engaging with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.

Nurses must also exhibit exceptional reasoning skills to solve practical problems and interpret various forms of instructions. Above all, a commitment to promoting residents' rights and dignity is vital, as this role requires fostering an environment of respect while supporting informed decision-making and independence among residents.

o Anyone found guilty by a court of law of abusing neglecting or mistreating individuals in health care related setting are ineligible for employment in the position.

• o Graduation from an accredited nursing school and a current valid license or registration (RN) in the state where employed are required.

• Certificates, Licenses, Registrations :

o Current state license to practice as a nurse.

o Current CPR certification and additional certification in nursing specialty desired.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to write reports nursing/Resident progress notes and nursing procedures.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from department heads customers (Residents family members physicians etc.) Computer skills required.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
